Our Mission and Values

Living out our faith...

Our Mission:

To glorify God by...

  • introducing people to Jesus,
  • connecting them with His family and
  • equipping them to be Christ-like ministers

Our Ministry Values:

Exercising Faith and Prayer: We are committed to begin with prayer, to make prayer the central objective of every facet of ministry, and to expect great results from God by faith.

Evangelism and Outreach: We are committed to bring people to Christ through love and forgiveness, not through guilt and shame.

Disciple-making: We are committed to Christ as Lord, and to personal holiness. We recognize the need for specific, intentional training to disciple others.

Celebrative and Reflective Worship: We are committed to a contemporary, meaningful style of worship using creative and culturally relevant approaches.

Mobilization of All Believers: We are committed to empower lay people to discern and fulfill their God-given passion and calling, with each member using his or her own spiritual gifts. We will promote ministry involvement so that each believer feels and acts as though he or she has ownership in the church.

Practical Daily Living: We are committed to the principle that church 'happens' in our daily lives, not just within the four walls of the church building, as each believer is motivated by the experience of Christ's love and forgiveness. We will therefore train each individual to be wise investors of time, talents, and finances.

Church Reproduction: We are committed to the principle of church planting, understanding that reproduction is an essential component of the fuller life cycle of the church, and a core ingredient of a healthy church.

Missions: We are committed to active participation in the support of missions, both home and abroad.

Small Groups: We are committed to developing care groups to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of people in an effective way.

Flexibility: We are committed to a willingness to set aside comfort levels formed by our traditional upbringing in order to bring people to Christ, without compromising the standards and values taught by the Bible.

Excellence in Ministry: We are committed to building quality in programming, realizing that we have only one chance to make a positive first impression. At the same time, we understand that ministry to people is more important than programs themselves.
